Covering an entire diaspora of activities related to travel, adventure, music, lifestyle, people and fun, that feature along the path of self-discovery is documented in a cinematic style with soulfully crafted background scores tailor made for each situation & mood. The franchise also entails a certain spiritual undertone for travellers who are blown away by the magnitude of natural landscapes and the worlds they uncover during the journey; this builds up into an introspection that further evolves in defining character and a true sense of identity and purpose.
ROHAN AND HIS JOURNEY: Rohan Thakur, fondly called Ronnie, a Himachali lad blessed with myriad interests and talents has somehow felt a lingering vacuum in his life. Being fairly gifted in most vocations of creative spaces such as filmmaking, photography and music, he has traveled around India and the world to hone his skills. But even then something was amiss. And that is when he decided to go back to his roots, traverse his own backyard and hope for an epiphany!
He begins his journey from his hometown, Manali and travels up to the far-flung areas of Leh and Ladakh. His journey encompasses 7 valleys around the entire lower Himalayan ranges thus making it a comprehensive Himalayan Travelogue.
It takes a team of multi-faceted, passionate and driven creative individuals to believe in an idea and make magic from then on - together.
Being an enterprising enthusiast, Asad began his career, as an intern with filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee and went on to associate under him on ads and feature films. He has lent his creative ability towards conceptualizing urban youth driven content for TV and Digital. Apart from this he has also travelled to many international content/format exhibitions to understand content marketing and monetisation of Intellectual property globally, the most prominent being MIPTV, and MIPCOM organised at Cannes.
In 2012 he streamlined all his creative and entrepreneurial efforts and intent and formed his company SLF Media – ‘Shoelace Films’ under which he intends to produce non-fiction docu-style content to tell urban Indian youth stories of real people on TV and digital for a universal audience. He backs his uncanny ability as a ‘niche talent spotter’ to further his cause as a talent manager who with his vision is invested in helping upcoming Homegrown talents to realise their own potential while also helping them earn their rightful revenue.
Anushka Sani, a young Mumbai based entrepreneur has been experimenting with different avenues of the Indian creative and design diaspora since the last 4 years. With deep-seated inspiration that has its routes in the reputed Srishti School of Art, Design & Technology, Anushka currently runs a successful creative boutique that specialises in creating unique user experience and strategic design. Anushka has travelled across the country and has spent time in the Andaman Islands exploring the forest island and it’s reefs extensively with her underwater camera.
Her keen sense of design and aesthetic coupled with her passion to see more of the world led Anushka to the world of Way Back Home, where she currently serves as the Associate Producer. She contributes to the franchise both creatively and through her domain expertise in addition to bringing a colourful passion for travel, art, design and music to the table. Her unique ability to create, curate and collaborate makes Anushka an essential team member in the franchise.
Calcutta based designer along with his brother started off RJ Artworks, had his first encounter with digital software’s when he was just 13. A few years after this pilot episode, he managed to validate his talent from the Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pune.
Today, many seasons later, he is a creator of digital art inspired by T.V shows (He not-so-secretly wishes he was a part of Breaking Bad!), pop culture, the 60s’ and all things psychedelic. He is just about bringing his madness to this franchise by doing some really cool design collateral around Way Back Home.
